In the capital of Lower Silesia there is a “District of Four Denominations” (also called the “District of Mutual Respect”), unique on Polish and European scale, where at a distance of 300 m from one another there are Orthodox, Evangelical and Catholic churches as well as a synagogue which belongs to the Jewish Community. The clergymen and communities of all these four denominations have been working together for over 10 years, creating an authentic dialogue; thanks to this cooperation further projects come into being. Since March 1995, four religious communities: Roman Catholic, Evangelical-Augsburg, Orthodox and Jewish form the “DISTRICT OF FOUR DENOMINATIONS” in Wrocław. In 1996 the Council of the District of Mutual Respect was established. The Council's activities contributed to the reinforcement of mutual cooperation, and in 2005 the “District of Mutual Respect of Four Denominations” Foundation was registered.
The aim of the competition is to present the most beautiful spots in the District of Four Denominations, to promote the District and to draw the attention of Wrocław residents and visitors to this part of the city (...). Awards: 10 distinguished works – a post competition exhibition of works bearing the author's name and surname in the gallery at Bike Cafe (...). Printout of awarded works in the form of a postcard bearing the author's name and surname and the logo of the District of Four Denominations (...). Presentation of the distinguished works in the photo gallery on the official Facebook profile of Centrum Informacji Turystycznej i Rowerowej (...).
