The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Final is a one-day public collection organized by the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Foundation. For many years, the Finals of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity have also been accompanied by Internet campaigns and closed events, which start at the beginning of December.
31st Grand Finale will play on 29 January 2023 under the theme: We want to beat sepsis! We play for all - the little and the big ones!
Sepsis is a set of symptoms caused by an uncontrollable, violent reaction of the body to an infection. Sepsis can lead to multiple organ failure, shock, and death within hours.
Time is of the essence in the fight against sepsis. That is why the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity wants to equip hospitals with devices to speed up the diagnosis of infections - this will enable better treatment of sepsis through faster implementation of targeted and effective treatment with antibiotics.
As part of the 31st Grand Finale, GOCC plans to buy:
- devices for the identification of microorganisms by Maldi TOF type mass spectrometry
- multiplex PCR analyzers for molecular diagnostics for the identification of microorganisms along with the determination of drug resistance
- analyzers for detecting bacterial and fungal amplification products and for determining resistance mechanisms using magnetic resonance technology
- automated culture systems for microbiological samples
- systems for automatic drug susceptibility testing using the microdilution method
- laminar chambers for microbiological laboratories
