ARTISTIC COMPETITION OF ILLUSTRATIONS FOR JEREMI PRZYBORA'S SONG LYRICS

On Tuesday, 14th October at 5 pm, at the Gallery in the Cultural Centre in Kutno, there will be an exhibition of works from 4th National Art Competition for the illustration of the lyrics of a song by Jeremi Przybora – the Honorary Starost of Kutno, as part of the 10th “Stacja Kutno” competition. This year, a total of 114 works were submitted to the competition by 66 authors from all over Poland. At the Gallery in Kutno, you will be able to see the most interesting works, both the awarded and the distinguished ones.
 
The Cultural Centre in Kutno for the tenth time organises an interdisciplinary project entitled “Stacja Kutno” – the Jeremi Przybora National Festival. In its original version, our festival was only a contest of songs written by Jeremi Przybora – our Honorary Starost since 1995. However, with increasing interest among the contestants and the residents of our town, we decided to expand the festival offer year by year. Thus, “Stacja Kutno” started to be accompanied by concerts of invited guests and stars, multimedia presentations, photography exhibitions and exhibitions presenting the output of the Przybora/Wasowski duet, vocal workshops (...) and workshops for accompanists (...). Four years ago, we invited visual artists to join us for the first time. People who, through art ,can show what is called “pure lyricism” in Przybora's lyrics, poetry, metaphor, but also specific, often black, humour and grotesque (...)
